WELCOME TO FIRST PARISH NORTHBORO"... a welcoming and beloved community that inspires spiritual growth and social action." | ||
|
Our VisionWe are a spiritual home for individuals and families, for people of faith and seekers of meaning. We are a welcoming, open community, active in social and environmental justice. We affirm the worth of all people and the interdependent web of all existence. Our MissionOur mission is to be a welcoming and beloved community that inspires spiritual growth and social action. Our Members and FriendsWe are a diverse, welcoming congregation. We are young and old. We are heterosexual, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered. We are city dwellers and suburbanites. We are affluent and just getting by. We are single and living in many different types of families. We are a congregation of few colors that would like to be a congregation of many colors. We come together from many religious backgrounds. While we are located in Northboro, we are less than 20 minutes from downtown Worcester, and people attend from throughout Central Massachusetts. Our location is particularly convenient for residents of Boylston, Shrewsbury, and Southborough. |

May 19
This is our annual Celebration of the children's Religious Education Year. Teachers will share insights from their own experience. Students will explain the life achievements of Henry Bergh in a series of skits; the youngest will share ideas about helping out with Henry's passionate commitment. Are you wondering who Henry Bergh was? Come learn about one of our "famous" UUs! It's all about the ASPCA and the New York SPCA.
May 26
Laura Trendel will speak with us about the history and meanings of this spiritual practice. Jason Dulac, who built our own labyrinth with help from others in our congregation will share some of his thoughts about his process of building our labyrinth. If it is a nice day, after service, we can go and walk the labyrinth. Rev. Judith will lead this service.
June 2
Annual Meeting follows the service.
