Welcome to First Parish Our Beliefs and Worship Upcoming Events Our Religious Education Our History Our Minister Our Staff and Governance Our Calendar and Programs Where to Find Us	Starting Saturday, February 6 EXPLORING RACISM: AN INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL PERSPECTIVE You are invited to join the adult education group, “Exploring Racism, an Internal and External Perspective’.” This 6 weeks program will begin on Saturday February 6, meeting from 9:30-11:30 AM, and will continue through to Saturday March 13th. The group will be facilitated by Ministerial Intern Misty-Dawn Shelly, Laura Wagner and Ken Wagner. Participants will be asked to purchase the book that will be used during the program (cost est. between $15-20. Donation copies are available upon request). There are two possible books that will be used and the decision will be made by the group facilitators once the group membership is determined. Both possible choices are written by Robin Parker and Pamela Smith Chambers. We will use either The Anti-Racism Cookbook or The Great White Elephant. Saturday, February 13, 6PM HAITI BENEFIT EVENT Join together with First Parish friends for Food and Music this coming Saturday, February 13^th at 6:30pm. We will collect donations to be sent to agencies providing relief services to victims of the earthquake. This is a potluck event! If you can contribute an appetizer, main dish, salad, drink or dessert with an “island” flair, all the better! Click here to view flyer with more details. Saturday, February 27, 6PM ANNUAL AUCTION TO BENEFIT THE CHURCH This year's theme: AUCTION OASIS-Think green and warm in our new and improved Parish Hall! Our auction combines a great party with much-needed fundraising. We are in need of your help to make this year's auction the best ever. Some of the ways you can help: donate desirable items (treasures, services, experiences)- Both big (a weekend stay at your mountain or beach cabin?) and small (never going to use that fancy soap?) donations help. Or solicit donations from local businesses such as restaurants and beauty salons, etc. *request services or goods to be donated-* "reverse" auction. If you need windows washed, gardens weeded, driveways shoveled...just ask, and we will try to find a donor. volunteer for a role in the event- setup, signs, decorations, set up, kitchen, etc. encourage friends and family to attend Visit our Google webpage for donation and "reverse auction" forms!
