The Ministerial Search Committee of First Parish is thrilled to announce that we have unanimously selected a Candidate for our next settled minister!

We have offered the settled minister position to…Lynda Sutherland!

Lynda Sutherland graduated from Meadville Lombard Theological School with her Master of Divinity degree in May 2015, at age 62. She recently completed two years as part-time intern minister at Cedar Valley UU in Iowa, and is currently the part-time assistant minister at Decorah Iowa Congregational United Church of Christ (UCC). Drawing upon her experience with raising her eight children, Lynda is developing a course in UU principle-grounded child discipline and is co-authoring a book with UU feminist theologian Sharon Welch. Lynda and her spouse, Ginger Meyette, enjoy singing, taking long walks, road trips, and reading.

This summer, the Worship team is trying something new: for the months of July and August, we’ll be sharing summer services with our fellow UUs at the Westboro Church

Services will be taking place at Congregational Society of Westboro for the month of July, located at 64 West Main St, Westboro, MA (time of service will be announced soon)

Services will be taking place here at First Parish Northboro for the month of August.  Please remember that our summer worship services start at 10:00 am.
