Our Stewardship event this year is designed to be quick, engaging, relationship-building, and fun for all.
6:00-7:30 Potluck Dinner Parties – at members’ homes
You will receive an invitation by mail indicating the member that is hosting your pot luck supper. Your host will work with you in creating a food theme. We are mixing new and long-time members together to create relatedness. And, the suppers will be in held in your resident town.
7:30-8:00 pm – Desserts, Beer, Wine, Coffee, Brief Talk on Stewardship!!
We will return to Parish Hall after the pot luck suppers to a second course of wonderful desserts and libations. We will have a 15 to 20-minute talk about stewardship and celebrating what we have accomplished, embracing our future, and what it will take as a community to fulfill on our vision
8:00-9:30 pm – Live Entertainment – Eula Lawrence & John Pierce Trio
One of Boston’s finest vocalists, Ms. Lawrence has been a featured artist at both the Boston Globe Jazz Festival and the Toulon Jazz Festival in Toulon, France. She was a 1991 Boston Music Award nominee for Outstanding Jazz Vocalist, and has appeared an unprecedented five times at Boston’s annual gala benefit Steppin’ Out, attended by over 3,500 people. Eula was a favorite here at First Parish when she performed here in December, 2015.
Who can attend:
This evening is for First Parish Members, their children, spouses, and significant others who may or may not be members. If someone is part of your family, please invitethem to join any of the activities. Remember to RSVP us.
Rides: If you need transportation to and from any of these two events, please let us know and will make sure it is provided
Child-care: If you need child-care, please let us know. You may ask your supper host if it is okay to bring children. Also, we will have free child-care at First Parish.
Food Restrictions: If you have a food restriction, please let your host know or contact us.
Options:
We have two main events that evening: the potluck suppers and our celebration party back at First Parish Hall. For any reason, you cannot attend a potluck supper, please make sure to join us later for the wonderful desserts, libations, and the live concert.
